Mentalization-Based Narrative Exposure Therapy (MBNET)

Treating complex interpersonal trauma is my clinical interest. After experimenting with different modalities, I completed training on Mentalization-Based Narrative Exposure Therapy (MBNET) to help support my clients more in their complex trauma work.

MBNET is a supportive, structured, direct approach to addressing the impacts of complex interpersonal trauma in your life.

  • Complex interpersonal trauma requires an approach that directly engages with experienced traumatic memories across the lifespan.

  • I believe in the benefits of long-term talk therapy, but also recognize the importance of periods of structured treatment to address experienced trauma specifically. MBNET does just that.

  • Together, we will make a list of your experienced complex interpersonal trauma memories across your lifespan. We will then spend time actively processing these memories.

  • If you would like to learn more about this approach to trauma, consider listening to this podcast episode with the creators of the modality, Dr. K Hixson and Riva Stoudt.

Telehealth is confidential and all sessions are conducted with a HIPAA compliant software. I’m happy to discuss any questions or concerns that you may have, as well as provide some tips for getting the most out of your teletherapy experience.
